As its too cold for old farts at the moment, Dave Walker and I are heading to Hinchinbrook tomorrow for a week of warmth and fishing. Let you know how we go when we get back. Very Happy

Hmm, yes, well. Sad coldest snap in the north for ten years according to the local pro crabber with water temps as low as 21oC. He was averaging 1 crab per day from 20 pots! Apparently the previous week was good and the weather was warming up when we left on Saturday morning - typical! We think we saw a Barra but it was just a flash. We did manage a few smallish jacks, cod and trevally and a significant flathead along with a 4 foot shovelnose, though. Like to go back and have a look when its a bit warmer.
I've also discovered that Lucinda is the biting midge capital of the world.
