SOUTHPORT PILOTAGE AREA
LOCALITY: ROBINA WATERS, GOLD COAST
ACTIVITY: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF WATERWAY - BUOYS ESTABLISHED IN POSITION

Mariners are advised that due to the construction of a waste water pipe line the waters upstream
of Markeri Street, Robina Waters will be subject to temporary closure during the period 1 to 15
December 2008. The canal system will be closed to navigation at the Markeri Street Bridge with
the construction zone being marked by yellow special mark buoys Fl Y 2.5s, positioned on either
side of the bridge.
All vessel operators should navigate with care in this vicinity.

The council are making a mess of every single park on the foreshore of robina lakes and no one can get access to the said area. all for water which will not be pumped through !

Waste water pipe??? What waste water, from where is this waste coming?

Pretty sure this is the pipeline from the desalination plant at Tugun. If the workers are contractors that's what it will be. If they are GC Water blokes then it will be a sewerage pipeline.
