OK
here's the wash-up from the weekend. I've had phone calls from
competitors thanking us for the weekend and saying what a great time
they had so we must have got it pretty well right. There will be a short story and pics in this Friday's Tweed Daily News if you are interested.

We had 63 registered competitors of whom only 57 fished and returned catch cards. They caught a total of 760 bass (nearly double the number of the last few years, although the average size was down on previous years). Competition was fierce with just
two points separating the two top anglers and eight points separating the top
two teams.

Champion Angler was
Brett Johns on 1820 points, runner-up was Glen Porter on 1818 points.

Champion Team, ENGEL
2 (Al Parsons and Brett Johns), on 3540 points outscored runners up GOTTOFLY
(Jeremy Wakelin and Glen Porter) just eight points behind on 3532.

Brett Johns completed
the clean sweep with the biggest bass of 430mm.

This year’s event
featured a State of Origin section for the top five anglers from each state.
The Queensland team took the shield for the first year and no doubt the NSW
team will be keen to reverse the result in the future.

Roy...

Could you send me the full list of placings, both teams and individuals and I will put them on the website.

Thanks.

Leigh.
