			<description><![CDATA[Went to Bulwer on Moreton for a week last Monday. Oh my God!!! All the tea tree swamps filled up &amp; are flowing across the beaches with some new  creeks being created. Some of the tracks leading into Bulwer were 2 ft under on Thursday. Thursdays barge was cancelled so we had to stay til Friday. Didn't wet a line. Fortunately we had enough supplies for a month anyway.

However all is not lost- just forced me to get a new one earlier than expected.

Now the proud owner of a new Minn Kota 55lb RT with auto pilot. Its bootiful, all white &amp; clean.

Got in at the right time with a price increase scheduled for April. One place is already listing &#36;300.00 up on current price.

What are the pros &amp; cons of setting up ie, battery type, charger etc,



The plan is to use this as the primary motor on a little aluminium tender which I use mostly on my own in place of a canoe, then to have it (the electric) as a trolling motor on my 12 footer,

			<description>Today’s Courier Mail reads boaties will be slugged with higher fees in Tuesday’s state budget. 



Rego fees will rise between $15 and $360 a year depending n the size of the boat. 



The fee hike will be extra revenue raised would to towards building new boat ramps and pontoons and update existing ones. 



Tinnies up to 4.5m will rise to $50.35- up $15.00.  But owners of 20m plus craft will pay $598 – and extra $360.
