another contribution to the debate on best braid to leader knot. It looks the goods cos there is no one point where braid loops around leader. this is why the loop to leader systems always fail I'm referring to the post by Jogholio about half way down- a knot from Varivas

Hey Rob, I'm liking that "Vibe-E" blade you gave me - yesterday I took a few lures down to the test tank (Nerang River off my jetty) to give them a swim. That blade is 1 for 1 - one cast for one flathead! Might have to look closely into manufacturing some!

Had a close look at one of Leigh's fave lures at work the other weekend. The Lucky Craft Sammy is a great little surface lure, looks just like a little lizard swimming along and Leigh hooked up on a fair number of bass with it. It looked so good I decided I had to have one - googled it up that night and decided that as long as I'm capable of holding a piece of wood and a stanley knife there's no way I'm paying that much for a lure! Off to the garage with some cedar, the knife and the bandsaw.

G'day all,

This is my first post on the ABA forum. I have just got myself a new (second hand) boat. It has got full floors front and rear casting decks.

It is a Stessco 3.75m Squire, 2003 model. The previous owner has done a heap of work on it.

Anyway my question is how would people advise me as to the best way to get the Bow mount electric on.

I have to get under the front deck and reach about 70 cm from the hatch to where the bolts should go in. The space under the front deck ...

After @ least ten years of faithfull service, the Berkley IM6 baitcaster is to be retired.

I would appreciate some suggestions on a replacement, keeping in mind:

1. I don't want anything longer than 6'.

2. The trusty ABU1500c will be used, unless I can be convinced otherwise.

3. Cork grips.

4. Casting 1/4 - 1/2 oz lures, *****alls, spinner baits, plastics etc., etc., 6 - 8lb braid.

5. Light - arthiritic wrists @ fingers are starting to make their prescence felt.

This one came from a doodle at a particularly boring meeting. Its a bit shorter than a Nolls Native but about the same weight with the bulk of the weight in the bum so it casts pretty well. It accounted for three bass on its maiden voyage so I think I'll knock out a few more when the hand improves enough.
