There are a lot of spots that I want to hit as soon as life settles back to normal after bubs arrival. Two stretches in particular I am simply drooling at the prospect of throwing a lure...the only downside is that both of them require at least a 4km paddle just to get to the stretches in question, because thats how far away the nearest legal launching spot is. I need to respool some reels for some upcoming trips. They are 2000 size spinning reels. I was going to put some mono backing on and top it with braid. I did this at the start of this season, but did not have much success. Seemed to be getting constant birdsnests. The braid seemed to be getting looser all the time. Do you do things like dunk the braid in hot water or stretch it between trees? How do you do your own?
